Daily Write
Round Robin
Round Robin is the best way I’ve found to break through my lifelong writer’s block.

About the Round Robin
Combining prompts, daily writing, and email exchanges with rotating partners, this online class provides the structure and support for writers to build and sustain a daily writing practice. There are no live class meetings. Lessons and discoveries come directly out of the daily writing, partner exchanges, and (on occasion) facilitator feedback.
Not just a writing class, the Round Robin is a vibrant community, one that has thrived for over 20 years. Writers in all genres and at all levels of experience take this class. Beginners use it to get started. Seasoned writers use it to stave off writer’s block and to generate new material. Many participants return session after session, fueled by the compelling class structure and ongoing support from fellow writers.
Again and again, I am reminded of how much we all crave (and need) ways to be creative, expressive, inventive. And when we do that — when we carve out the time, give ourselves permission and plunge in, we thrive. We live more fully.
Jane Underwood, founder and creator of Round Robin
Prompts
Each Monday the class facilitator shares a week’s worth of daily writing prompts with participants. Designed as springboards, the prompts are brief, open-ended, and applicable across genres.
I loved the prompts in Round Robin. They had just the right kind of openness. They might generate a scene, a character, a dialog, but they always seemed to work.

Daily Writing
Daily writing is the foundation of this online course. Writing for 12 minutes each day enables participants to continually produce new material, invite the unexpected, and prioritize writing in their lives.
The discipline of showing up at the page each day, even when I didn’t feel particularly inspired, began to unlock a sense of trust in myself as a writer.
Chloe Banks
Partner Exchanges
Partner exchanges form the core of the Round Robin community. Participants rotate through weekly partners, commenting each day on a partner’s emailed submission with supportive and encouraging feedback.
Without the supportive and generous comments of my writing partners, I could never have written so much work that I feel this good about.

Upcoming Round Robins
Round Robin is offered four times a year in a 3-week version, twice a year in a 6-week version, and twice a year in the traditional 8-week version. The 3-week version is built as a preparatory class for the 6- or 8-week versions or as an alternative that requires a shorter commitment.
